The subheading of the book is 'From the creation of science to the science of creation' - the latter referring to cloning technology, not "creation science". The book is a whizz through major events in the development of science, starting with Thales, who was one of the first thinkers to ask what the world was made from. It looks at various Greek philosophers, through Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler, then to various 18th, 19th and 20th century scientists, finishing with Dolly the sheep. Although I knew about most of the people featured in the book, it was still an enjoyable read. If you are fairly new to the history of science (or even new to science) this book is an easy read, explaining the scientific concepts clearly and setting various developments in perspective.
