This is not your typical biography, it is "faction" - a fictionalised account, told in the first person as if Wegener were talking through the pages. I picked this up in a 2nd hand book shop without reading the back properly, and was rather put out when I found out it wasn't a "proper" biography. However I read it anyway and loved it. It really gets you into the mind of (Dudman's interpretation of) Wegener. The book is as much about his Artic expeditions as a meteorologist as it is about his geological writings, but all the more fascinating for that.
An enjoyable read (currently only available on Amazon via the second-hand sellers).
