Richard Fortey is a trilobite fan, no mistake! He discusses where they are found, how they saw, where they lived, etc. Fortey's writing style is very descriptive and anecdotal - on the plus side, this gives a feel for what it is like to be a geologist/trilobite hunter, but I find that it can sometimes be irritating and I just want him to get to the point. If you like Fortey's style, go for it. If you don't particularly like his style but have a thing for trilobites (who wouldn't?), then go for it anyway!
