About Science File

Information about the Science File website. Are you new here? This is where to start.

Science File is an online science magazine written by its members. It's for anybody interested in science, regardless of whether they are a complete novice or a science professional. Members can contribute their own articles, book reviews, DVD reviews and interviews: they can also discuss science in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in our forums, where science has been discussed for six years. Our aim is to create a science magazine from quality material written by those who have one thing in common - a passion for science. Whatever your interest in science, we hope you will become part of our community and contribute to the site. So take time to have a look around - we are sure you will find something of interest! And if you would like to join us, just click "Create An Account" on the front page of the site.

Because Science File is a science magazine whose content is created by its members, we do ask that, if you join Science File, you contribute at least two items per year to the site. These can take the form of an article, a book review, a DVD review or other types of item which may become part of the magazine in the future. Two items per year is not, we feel, an excessive number to ask for, and it will help ensure that there is always fresh and interesting material on the site for people to read. Without contributions from members, the magazine will very quickly become out of date and offer nothing new to attract visitors back to the site. It will also help ensure that everybody contributes, not just a minority of interested members.

We shall look forward to meeting you! If you have any questions, do feel free to e-mail members(at)sciencefile.org.
