Science File -

Science File is a science reference website and community. Our goal is simply to communicate and share our passion for science. Site features include 570+ science news feeds for keeping up to date with the very latest in science, an extensive science website directory, the internet's most extensive UK science events calendar, science book reviews and science articles written by members.  If you would like to chat about science in a friendly, relaxed environment, we also offer The Science Forums, a daughter site of Science File. Our events calendar offers the internet's biggest national listing of UK science events, to which members can contribute and which is now also available as an RSS feed so that you can keep up to date with which science events are happening near you.  We very much hope that you will join us and share our passion for science. All you need to be a member is an interest in science: our members range from complete novices through to professional scientists, so whether you want to keep up with all the latest news, research a particular area of science , write your own articles,  read and write book reviews, plus much else, there is something here for you.

As a site visitor, you are able to:

• View more than 570 Science News Feeds from a variety of internet sources , to keep up to date with the very latest science news
  
• Read articles about science written by Science File members
• View the Science Website Directory, which currently contains images and descriptions of around 5,000 quality internet science sites
  
• View the Science Events Calendar, which lists details of forthcoming UK science events, from talks to conferences to exhibitions to.....anything happening in science, perhaps where you are. The calendar is the internet's biggest listing of UK science events, and lists, on average, more than one hundred and fifty events per month.
  
• Subscribe to the Events RSS feed, which delivers details of forthcoming UK science events straight to your RSS reader
• Read the Science Book Reviews, which are written by Science File members
  
• Subscribe to the Book Reviews RSS feed, which delivers details of the latest book reviews straight to your RSS reader
• Visit The Science Forums, one of the internet's most popular places to discuss science in a calm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The forums require separate registration should you wish to post there.

A registered member of Science File is able to access all of the above, but gains additional features and benefits. As a member you will also be able to:

We hope you will join our community, whether you are a complete science novice, a professional scientist, or anything in between: our membership comprises people right across the spectrum. Science File may edit any submitted material for content, punctuation, grammatical or spelling errors;

Any submitted material may be rejected for publication without a reason being given;

Science File may remove published material from the site at any time without a reason being given;

You will not post any material which is copyrighted unless you have secured, and can produce evidence of if asked, written permission from the copyright holder;

Your membership may be cancelled at any time should you violate these terms and conditions, at the discretion of Science File.
